On a daily and monthly basis, RFEDs and FDMs report certain FOREX balances, such as liabilities to customers and other financial information required by NFA. The daily report must be prepared as of the end of the business day and must be filed by noon on the following business day. The monthly report must be filed within seventeen business days of the end of each month for which the report is prepared.
CFTC Regulation 5.5(e)(1)(i)-(iii) requires RFEDs and FDMs to maintain certain performance disclosures and provide those disclosures to customers on a quarterly basis. RFEDs and FDMs are required to submit these same performance disclosures to NFA on a quarterly basis using NFA's EasyFile system. The quarterly reports must be filed within 17 business days of the quarter for which the report is prepared. This information should be filed based off the calendar year quarters, rather than the firm's fiscal year end.
