You may submit requests for the publications listed below by email to, or by calling NFA's Information Center at (312) 781-1410 or toll-free at (800) 621-3570. Please provide your mailing address with your request, so copies can be mailed as promptly as possible.

Single copies of all NFA publications are available free of charge. However, there is a fee involved if you order more than one copy of "Opportunity and Risk: An Educational Guide to Trading Futures and Options on Futures".

If there is a fee, you will be asked to mail a check, made payable to NFA, along with your publication request to:

Scams and Swindles: An Educational Guide to Avoiding Investment Fraud
A guide that describes common characteristics of investment scams and outlines steps individuals can take to avoid them.

Security Futures: An Introduction to Their Uses and Risks
A booklet that gives investors an introduction to what security futures are, how they work and how they can be used. It also discusses the risks and limitations of trading these products.

Trading Forex: What Investors Need to Know
This brochure gives an overview of the retail off-exchange foreign currency (forex) market, how the market is regulated, and the risks involved in trading forex. The brochure also contains a glossary of terms.

You can check the registration status and disciplinary history of any derivatives firm or individual.
