Re: Withdrawal of June 29, 2010 Petition for Rulemaking

Dear Mr. Stawick

National Futures Association is withdrawing the Petition for Rulemaking it filed with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (Commission or CFTC) on June 29, 2010 requesting that the Commission amend CFTC Regulation 4.5. By a separate letter dated August 18, 2010, NFA filed a revised Petition that limits the Petition's applicability to certain registered investment companies.

Respectfully submitted,

Thomas W. Sexton
Senior Vice President and General Counsel
