COMPLAINT:
On March 12, 2012, NFA issued a Complaint charging Gem and Stankoff with failure to observe high standards of commercial honor and just and equitable principles of trade and failure to provide adequate risk disclosure. The Complaint also charged Gem with failure to observe enhanced supervisory requirements.
DECISION:
On April 3, 2012, pursuant to a settlement offer submitted by Gem and Stankoff, Gem was ordered to withdraw from NFA membership within 30 days from the date of the Decision and never again apply for NFA membership, associate membership or principal status with any NFA Member.
Stankoff was ordered to withdraw from NFA associate membership within 30 days from the date of the Decision. Stankoff was barred from NFA membership, associate membership or principal status with any NFA Member for three years from the date of the Decision and, in the event she attains NFA membership, associate membership or principal status with any NFA Member at any point in the future, she was ordered to pay a $10,000 fine within 30 days of attaining such status. | | | |
