COMPLAINT:
On November 14, 2008, NFA issued a Complaint charging Petra with failing to observe high standards of commercial honor and just and equitable principles of trade and failure to list a principal. The Complaint also charged Petra and Allamian with failing to supervise.
ANSWER:
On December 15, 2008, Petra and Allamian filed an Answer to the Complaint in which they denied the material allegations contained therein.
DECISION:
On February 17, 2011, after a hearing was held, Petra was permanently barred from NFA membership and from acting as a principal of an NFA Member. Allamian was suspended from NFA membership, associate membership and may not act as a principal of an NFA member for three years from the date of the Decision. If after the three-year suspension Allamian applies for NFA membership, associate membership or to act as a principal of an NFA Member, he was ordered to pay a $250,000 fine within 30 days of the date on which he is granted NFA membership, associate membership or principal status.
APPEALS DECISION:
On May 9, 2012 the Appeals Committee affirmed the Decision issued by the Hearing Panel against Allamian in all respects. | | | |
