Arbitration is a popular dispute resolution alternative to time consuming and costly litigation. The success of NFA's arbitration program is directly tied to the quality of the individuals who serve as arbitrators. There are currently over 2,400 individuals on the NFA roster. They come from various professions and walks of life, but the skills they share are integrity, impartiality and sound judgment. NFA also considers an individual's educational background and business experience. However, technical expertise in the commodity futures markets is not a requirement.

• Download and complete the Arbitrator Profile (updated February 2006) and mail or fax it to the contact information provided on the Profile; or

While training is essentially on-the-job, once you agree to serve on a case, we will send you a interactive CD to help you meet your mandatory training requirements and understand your responsibilities as an NFA Arbitrator. Other helpful resources are:
