Registration Bulletin NFA would like all registrants to know that, effective immediately, NFA can no longer accept fingerprint cards that contain NASD bar codes. This action was taken because the FBI has informed NFA that it will not process these types of fingerprint cards. "The FBI has also informed us that they will no longer accept fingerprint cards that contain any highlighted information," says Yvette Christman, manager of NFA's Registration/ Membership Department. "The scanners the FBI uses will not decipher any data that has been covered up by a highlighting pen." NFA will return any fingerprint cards it receives with NASD bar codes or highlighted areas to the registrant and request new cards be sent as soon as possible.
