For Immediate Release January 31, 2000 For more information contact: NFA revokes registration of floor broker January 31, Chicago - National Futures Association revoked the registration of Jeffrey Loretta as a floor broker (FB). Loretta is an FB with the New York Futures Exchange. In a Final Order Revoking Registration (Final Order), a Subcommittee of NFA's Membership Committee (Subcommittee) found that Loretta is statutorily disqualified from registration because on May 24, 1996, Loretta pled guilty to and was convicted of a felony. The Subcommittee also found that he did not meet his burden of showing that his continued registration would pose no substantial risk to the public. The Final Order becomes effective on February 21, 2000. NFA is a congressionally authorized self-regulatory organization for the U.S. futures industry.
