NFA Directories

NFA publishes several directories of CFTC Registrants. They are available either electronically (via e-mail or on CD) or in printed format (8 1/2" X 11" paper). If you choose an electronic option, you will receive a file saved in a text comma-delimited format, along with instructions for opening the file.

The NFA Directory Order Form explains the order process. NFA must receive your order form and payment before the directories will be sent. Unless otherwise indicated, the directories are in alphabetical order.

The Directory of CFTC Registrants contains the main office address and telephone number for all registered and pending CPOs, CTAs, FCMs, RFEDs, IBs, SDs and MSPs. This directory also indicates whether a registrant is a pending or approved NFA Member, Forex Firm, Forex Dealer Member or Swap Firm.

The Geographic Directory of CFTC Registrants contains main office addresses and branch office addresses only (no telephone numbers) for registered CPOs, CTAs, FCMs, RFEDs, IBs, SDs and MSPs, in order by state or country. This is the only directory that includes address information for branch offices. This directory also indicates whether a registrant is a pending or approved NFA Member, Forex Firm, Forex Dealer Member or Swap Firm.

The Commodity Pool Operator (CPO) Directory contains the main office address, telephone number and any additional registration categories for all registered and pending CPOs. This directory also indicates whether a CPO is a pending or approved NFA Member, Forex Firm or Swap Firm.

The Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA) Directory contains the main office address, telephone number and any additional registration categories for all registered and pending CTAs. This directory also indicates whether a CTA is a pending or approved NFA Member, Forex Firm or Swap Firm.

The CPO and CTA Directory contains the main office address, telephone number and any additional registration categories for all registered and pending CPOs and CTAs. This directory also indicates whether a CPO or CTA is a pending or approved NFA Member, Forex Firm or Swap Firm.

The Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) Directory contains the main office address, telephone number and any additional registration categories for all registered and pending FCMs. This directory also indicates whether a FCM is a pending or approved NFA Member, Forex Firm, Forex Dealer Member, or Swap Firm.

The Retail Foreign Exchange Dealer (RFED) Directory contains the main office address, telephone number and any additional registration categories for all registered and pending RFEDs.  This directory also indicates whether a RFED is a pending or approved NFA Member, Forex Firm or Forex Dealer Member.

The Forex Dealer Member (FDM) Directory contains the main office address, telephone number for all approved and pending Forex Dealer Members, and the registration category(ies) for the FDM.

The Introducing Broker (IB) Directory contains the main office address, telephone number and any additional registration categories for all registered and pending IBs. This directory also indicates whether an IB is a pending or approved NFA Member, Forex Firm or Swap Firm.

The Swap Dealer (SD) Directory contains main office address, telephone number and any additional registration categories for all registered and pending SDs. This directory also indicates whether a SD is a pending or approved NFA Member or Swap Firm.

The Major Swap Participant (MSP) Directory contains the main office address, telephone number and any additional registration categories for all registered and pending MSPs. This directory also indicates whether a MSP is pending or approved NFA Member or Swap Firm.

The SD and MSP Directory contains the main office address, telephone number and any additional registration categories for all registered and pending SDs and MSPs. The directory also indicates whether a SD or MSP is a pending or approved NFA Member or Swap Firm.

The FCMs with Guaranteed IBs Directory lists guarantor FCMs and the IBs they financially guarantee. The main office address and telephone number is included for both the FCMs and the IBs.

The RFEDs with Guaranteed IBs Directory lists guarantor RFEDs and the IBs they financially guarantee. The main office address and telephone number is included for both the RFEDs and the IBs.

The IBs with FCM/RFED Guarantor Directory lists guaranteed IBs and their FCM/RFED guarantor. The main office address and telephone number is included for both the IBs and the FCMs/RFEDs.

NFA Membership Directory contains the main office address and telephone number for all approved and pending NFA Member CPOs, CTAs, FCMs, RFEDs, IBs, SDs and MSPs. This directory also indicates whether a member is a pending or approved Forex Firm, Forex Dealer Member or Swap Firm.  However, please note that while all NFA Members are CFTC registrants, not all CFTC registrants are NFA Members.
