Notice I-01-27

November 30, 2001

Request for Public Director Nominations for NFA’s Board of Directors

Effective October 15, 2001, NFA’s Articles of Incorporation were amended to reduce the size of NFA’s Board of Directors from 45 Directors to 25 Directors. Effective February 2002, Public Representative positions on the Board will be reduced from nine Directors to five Directors.

Effective February 2002, all of the current Public Representatives’ terms will expire. NFA is asking its Members for nominations to fill these vacancies on the Board. At the Board’s regular annual meeting, scheduled for Thursday, February 21, 2002, the Board will select from among the nominees five Public Representatives to serve on the Board. Three of the Public Representatives will serve two-year terms and two will serve one-year terms.

Because public representation on NFA’s Board of Directors is an important matter, we ask that you give serious consideration to submitting a nomination to fill these vacancies. All nominations must be received at the address below on or before Friday, December 28, 2001.
