Rulemaking

The essence of self-regulation involves identifying industry best practices in certain areas and then mandating those practices for the entire industry. NFA identifies area that may require additional rulemaking, works with committees of Members to develop appropriate proposed rules, and then presents those rule proposals to NFA's Board of Directors. All rule changes approved by the Board are subject to CFTC approval.
