NFA to hold World Investor Week webinar for investors on October 9

The International Organization of Securities Commission's (IOSCO) eighth annual World Investor Week (WIW) is a week-long, global campaign promoted by IOSCO to raise awareness about the importance of investor education and protection. WIW takes place from Monday, October 7 through Sunday, October 13, 2024.

As part of WIW, NFA and the CFTC will hold a free webinar entitled Protecting Yourself: NFA and CFTC Investor Resources on October 9, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. CT/2:00 p.m. ET. This webinar will cover the key messages of WIW, including:

  • Conducting due diligence when considering investments;
  • The importance of working with regulated entities;
  • Checking whether an investment professional is licensed; and
  • Recognizing the warning signs of investment fraud.

There is no charge to attend the webinar; however, registration is required.
