NFA announces two Web-based training programs for NFA Members

In a continuing effort to enhance its educational services to Members, NFA announces the launch of two training programs that can be accessed from its Web site (www.nfa.futures.org). Both programs will be available free of charge to NFA Members beginning Monday, July 22.

The first program relates to NFA's new Anti-Money Laundering Program Rules for FCMs and IBs. The program describes NFA Compliance Rule 2-9(c) and Interpretive Notice on Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Programs, presents hypothetical scenarios to help Members apply the program requirements to actual work situations and highlights key areas in NFA's audit review of Member's programs.

The second program outlines Members' regulatory obligations regarding the new Privacy Act Rules. The presentation reviews the new regulation, defining some of the terms used in the regulation and providing some examples of how the regulation might apply to a Member's business operations.

Both programs are audio presentations with accompanying visual components. They are available "on demand,” allowing Members to view them whenever they choose. Viewers will also have the option of e-mailing questions to NFA if they would like further clarification on any aspect of the program.

Individuals who wish to view one or both programs should go to the Member Education and Training Section of NFA's Web site and click on the link called "Web-Based Training.”
