Ballot Enclosed for Voting in NFA's Annual Election in the CPO/CTA Category
This year, NFA has two contested elections to elect representatives in the CPO/CTA category on NFA's Board of Directors. Enclosed is your ballot for voting in this election. No write-in votes will be accepted. NFA is a membership organization and each Member's vote is very important.
Each NFA Member firm that has designated its primary voting category as either a CPO or a CTA can cast a ballot to vote for only one individual running in each election to serve on NFA's Board. Ballots have been sent to the NFA membership contact for each firm, and he/she may discuss the firm's vote with senior management. All ballots must be completed and mailed to Grant Thornton LLC in the pre-addressed, postage-paid envelope that is enclosed. The ballot must be received by Grant Thornton no later than Tuesday, January 19, 2016. Ballots that are either received after January 19, 2016 or submitted in an envelope other than the one provided will be considered void.
Position papers received by NFA for each of the candidates are also enclosed.
Additionally, please be advised that Members in the CPO/CTA membership category filed the required 50 or more petitions to nominate Blair Hedges of FDO Partners for the position to be filled by a CPO or CTA ranked in at least the top 5% of CPOs or CTAs reporting any funds under management allocated to futures and swaps on NFA Form PQR and NFA Form PR as of June 30 preceding the election. However, Mr. Hedges subsequently notified NFA that he declined this nomination. Therefore, there will not be a contested election for the top 5% position and the CPO/CTA Subcommittee of the Nominating Committee's nominee, Adam C. Cooper of Citadel, will be elected to this position in accordance with NFA's Articles of Incorporation.
If you do not have the return envelope or have any questions, please contact Margaret Vandermyde at 312-781-1435.
