NFA revokes registration of Texas firm, SG Commodities LLC and its principal, James S. Gossett

July 23, Chicago - National Futures Association (NFA) has revoked the registrations of SG Commodities LLC (SG Commodities) and its principal, James S. Gossett. SG Commodities is a Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA) located in Plano, Texas.

A designated Subcommittee of NFA's Membership Committee issued the Final Orders Revoking Registration (Final Orders) because the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) had barred Gossett from association with any FINRA member, effective December 11, 2008. In addition, Gossett subsequently failed to disclose the FINRA action to NFA. The Committee, therefore, revoked the registrations under the Commodity Exchange Act of SG Commodities and Gossett from CTA and associated person (AP) registrations, respectively. The Subcommittee issued the Final Orders after SG Commodities and Gossett failed to respond to the allegations against them.

The Final Orders become effective August 21, 2009. SG Commodities and Gossett may file a Notice of Appeal with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

The complete text of the Final Orders can be found on NFA's website (www.nfa.futures.org)
