Webinar: Digital Assets and Customer Protection: Answering Common Questions

The International Organization of Securities Commission's (IOSCO) sixth annual World Investor Week (WIW) was a week-long, global campaign to raise awareness about the importance of investor education and protection. WIW 2022 took place from Monday, October 3 through Sunday, October 9.

As part of WIW, NFA and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) held a free webinar entitled Digital Assets and Customer Protection: Answering Common Questions on October 4. This webinar covered the key messages of WIW, including:

  • Understanding the risks that are associated with crypto assets;
  • Conducting due diligence when considering any investment opportunity; and
  • Recognizing the warning signs of investment fraud.


Investor Bulletin: World Investor Week 2022

For World Investor Week 2022, the Securities & Exchange Commission's (SEC) Office of Investor Education and Advocacy, the CFTC, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), NFA and the North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA) published an investor bulletin offering five tips to increase your resilience as an investor.
